Video tutorial 04 - masking canopies

Notes :

  • Tamiya masking tape

    • low-tack, yet secure

    • leaves no residue

    • cuts cleanly

  • Masking Sol

    • for small curves and rounded corners

  • Always use a new blade !

  • Take your time

  • Cut narrow strips to allow 'turning' curves

  • Apply in segments, following natural frame lines

  • Minimise joins, danger of 'leaks'

  • Rub down with toothpick to ensure no gaps

  • Do not remove masks until all airbrush work is completed

    • gloss coat, flat coat

  • Tip : airbrush the inner colour first

nice trick on leading the masking sol with needle! i have a hard time handling this masking sol, until now!
