From plastic to model - a pictorial story
Written by Viper
Here I present a photo-documentary of the stages of building an Armour model kit.
The photographs show the effects of each major step or technique.
I hope this serves to illustrate to the beginner modeller what difference each technique gives, to increase the realism of a plastic kit.
This model is built from the Panzerkampfwagen IV Ausf. F2/G kit from Dragon Models. It is finished in the markings of the German Afrika Corps (DAK) in Tunisia 1942.

What a awesome job you did!
Congratulations.
Great Info. I am able to get up to the washes but have no idea how you did the dusting.
Any info on that would be very much appreciated.
Always get inspired after seeing your work.
Thanks and keep'em coming.

Viper: Hi Terioska, thanks for the comment. I airbrush diluted Tamiya Buff for dusting.
I'd prefer that you were inspired than discouraged
Just keep building models, I didn't reach this stage overnight.
Model on!
That is magnificent work... I am both inspired and a little discouraged. I just can't imagine making a model this great
