I got this set as part of a whole package deal from a seller on Yahoo auctions. He was selling the F-14A "Atlantic Fleet" kit with this conversion and much as I'd like to do a kit review as well, it makes more sense, I feel, to do a build review since kits are meant to be built, not admired (though I am equally guilty of admiring my kits from the box instead of building them).

The conversion set is purely resin, no photoetch or decals provided. Still, it's an early resin release, not one of the newer ones from Wolfpack or even Isracast.

The resin is not as finely cast as the earlier mentioned two manufacturers but it's good enough for me. Some warping has occured on the pylons but a little hot water and gentle bending should fix that.

Conversion comes in a little ziplock bag with folded instructions.

The instructions sheet. As you can see, it's relatively straightforward and only some minor cutting is involved. Should not be too much of a hassle. Measure twice, cut once.

I hope you find this conversion useful. I can either choose to use this with the F-14A kit or F-14D kit, depending on which one I can find decals for. I'd of course prefer to use it with the kit which came with this set since all I then need to do is find the right decals for it.
